Horsham man Jim Duggan was beaten by the Beer, Baccy and Crumpets Party, Christian Party and Monster Raving Loony Party in the Eastleigh by-elections yesterday (Thursday).

Mr Duggan, who has stood as a Horsham Parliamentary candidate in the 2001, 2005 and 2010 General Elections, took 128 votes (3.1 per cent). The turnout was 52.8 per cent.

His success in Hampshire was not quite as successful as his attempts to be MP in Horsham.
