Flooding causes traffic problems across the county

Flooding has caused major problems for traffic across the county this morning (Thursday December 20).

The A24 Findon bypass in Findon has been closed southbound around Findon roundabout, and the A29 Fontwell Avenue has also been shut in both directions between Fontwell Services roundabout and Whiteways Lodge Roundabout in Houghton.

One lane has been closed on the A27 eastbound in Chichester between Oving crossroads and Portfield roundabout.

Several other roads have a lot of surface water and drivers are advised to take extra care in the difficult conditions.
