Children had an amazing hands-on experience at Busy Bees Pre-school's first '˜Repto-party'.

Girls and boys were able to handle snakes, a tortoise, lizards, a green water dragon, chameleon, gecko and tarantula.

Jane Langton, manager at the pre-school, which meets at The Old Palace in Glebe Road, said: “We weren’t sure what to expect or how the children would react.

“They were amazing, handling the reptiles with confidence and asking Dan, their handler, questions.

“The morning was an amazing experience for the children, one they won’t forget.”
