East Surrey Hospital appoints Michael Wilson permanant chief exectuive
East Surrey Hospital has announced the permanant appointment of Michael Wilson as chief exectuive.
Mr Wilson has been in charge of Surrey and Sussex NHS Healthcare Trust, which runs the hospital, for two-and-a-half years in a temporary capacity.
A permanent chief exectuive was required for the trust to become a foundation trust, according to chairman Alan McCarthy.
Mr McCarthy said: “Michael has lead the organisation superbly during the last two-and-a-half years and, together with colleagues within the hospital, has transformed the service we provide to our patients and community.
“The board is unanimous in its support of Michael and his track record clearly demonstrates he is the right person to lead the trust at this exciting time.”
