An injured elderly woman needs volunteers to walk her two dogs.
Audrey Roberts, 78, from Ifield West, broke her shoulder eight weeks ago and since then has relied on a local volunteer to take her two King Charles spaniel sisters Lexi and Ru-tu for walks.
Audrey said her volunteer Veronique Susant from Tilgate takes the dogs out for half an hour as often as she is able.
Audrey said: “The girls don’t mind who takes them, they are extremely friendly and always happy when you get their lead they wag their tails like crazy.
“I live on my own and it’s very unfair to keep a dog if it isn’t exercised and I can’t imagine giving them to someone else to look after.”
Audrey found Veronique through The Cinnamon Trust, a national charity which supports the elderly and terminally ill and their pets.
Veronique is not able to take the dogs for walks every day so extra help is needed.
