Branch treasurer Margaret Huntingdon presents the cheque to Alyson Smith for Parkinson's research
THE CHICHESTER and Bognor Regis branch of Parkinson’s UK has raised £4,000 to go towards finding a cure for the degenerative illness.
Margaret Huntingdon, branch treasurer, presented the cheque to Alyson Smith, regional fundraiser for Parkinson’s UK.
The presentation was on Monday at the branch’s AGM at the Newell Centre, in Chichester.
The money will go towards looking for a cure for the degenerative disease, which affects thousands of people.
The group meets on the third Monday of every month at the centre, and supports those who have been diagnosed.
