BREAKING NEWS: One fatality in Fernhurst fire
Fatal fire at Old Glebe in Fernhurst this morning (January 24)
A PERSON died in a house fire at Fernhurst this morning (January 24), firefighters confirmed.
Emergency crews from Midhust and Surrey were called to the blaze at 07.44am, and required breathing apparatus to enter the premises at Old Glebe, Fernhurst.
The victim is believed to be a man in his 60s.
Fire gripped the ground floor and first floor of the property.
A police investigation is under way.
