BREAKING NEWS: Industrial oven catches fire
A FIRE at a manufacturing unit in Shoreham last night (Tuesday, February 5) was started in an industrial oven.
The blaze, in Dolphin Road, started around 7.50pm and was attended by four fire crews – one water tender ladder from Shoreham, one from Lancing and two from Hove.
Firefighters were on site until 9.30pm, using two jets, a hose reel, hydrant and four breathing apparatus to tackle the fire, which they said was started accidentally.
A thermal imaging camera was used to check for hot spots and a pressure fan helped ventilate the industrial unit.
