Arson attack on Southbourne building

A possible arson attack is being investigated near Chichester.

At approximately 9.45pm on Friday, (September 14) Sussex Police and West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (WSFR) went to Main Road, Southbourne, following a report of a fire to an outbuilding.

Police helped with traffic control in the area while firefighters tackled the blaze and carried out an investigation.

WSFR confirmed deliberate ignition.

Any witness or anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting serial 1018 of 16/9. Alternatively, call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
