Appeal for witnesses after Worthing assault

POLICE are investigating an alleged assault on a 19 year-old man outside Worthing railway station on January 11.

The local man reported that a group of youths, some of whom are known to him, punched and kicked him and knocked him to the ground in the car park near Southcourt Road.

The incident happened at around 10pm.

PC Duncan Slaney said: “We are investigating a report in which a man says he was punched and kicked but fortunately he was not seriously injured. I am keen to talk to anyone who may have witnessed this assault.”
