Two youngsters from Copthorne have been presented with a Young Epilepsy Champion Award.

Marie Deville and Imogen Miles were given the accolade by charity Young Epilepsy (YE) to recognise the dedication the nine-year-olds put into organising a Purple Day at their school to raise funds for the charity.

Marie and Imogen put on a presentation and visited every classroom to explain why they wanted to raise money and epilepsy awareness.

The award was presented to the pair by Gillingham Football Club central defender Leon Legge who has the condition. Visit youngepilepsy.org.uk
