John Livermore, the retiring Conservative County Councillor for Worthing West Division, who is not seeking re-election this year, after 16 years as a County Councillor has joined United Kingdom Independence Party. He has resigned from the Conservative Party and The West Worthing Conservative Association.

He has become disillusioned with the West Worthing Conservative Association (WWCA) and the way he claimed they had imposed Worthing Borough Councillor Paul High on to the Worthing West Division as the Candidate for the forth coming County Council Elections.
