Vanessa Dell is hoping to integrate the stories into artwork which will be on display in the new £20 million redevelopment of the wider station area led by Solum Regeneration.

She said: “I want to find out about the lovely every day kindnesses and every day chit chat, a whole range of little stories.

“We want to connect the community and get everyone involved, and their comments can potentially be turned into artwork.”

Vanessa interviewed Nancy Bray, who said she will be glad to see some of Haywards Heath’s culture at the station so that ‘we can take our thoughts into London with us’.

“Haywards Heath really deserves it,” she added.
