ADUR District Council has re-branded its community grants scheme and is launching it to voluntary and community groups in the district.
Groups have until Friday, June 21, to apply for up to £5,000 in the first round of awards from Community Adur - Grants to Groups.
Money is available for new or existing projects that meet the criteria, with the possibility of a larger award in exceptional circumstances.
Further applications will be allowed in September and January.
David Simmons, cabinet member for health and wellbeing said: “I am pleased to announce that this fund will continue to run during 2013/14, and that subject to available funding, applications to this scheme can be made in June, September and January.”
Applications must promote health and wellbeing, promote community involvement and volunteering opportunities, target inequalities and deprivation, increase partnership working between organisations, or promoting the regeneration of the district.
Groups can discuss their ideas with the communities team, who administer the grants, or support with making an application can be provided by Adur Voluntary Action on 01903 854980.
