STEYNING Grammar School’s Winter Fair gets bigger and better every year.
Around 1,000 people attended this year’s event on Saturday, helping to raise £7,800 for the school.
People of all ages packed into the hall and classrooms for stalls, entertainment and an assist dog demonstration from Canine Partners.
The school said it was a real community event, as well as drawing in visitors from further afield.
Year-12 students ran Santa’s Grotto, while the boarders were serving non-alcoholic mulled punch alongside the Friends’ mulled wine.
Teachers and students manned various other stalls and many local businesses supported the event.
Crawford Murray, chairman of the Friends of Steyning Grammar School, said: “A great deal of work and commitment has gone into making this such a special day, both in terms of the community atmosphere and the funds it raised.
“Raising so much money is just the icing on the cake and every penny of this will be used to buy some extra equipment for the school, which will ultimately benefit students for many years to come.”
Next year’s Winter Fair, will be held on Saturday, November 21. To book a stall, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
