INNOVATIVE designs and arrangements inspired members of Southwick Flower Club at their November meeting.

Gill Horner, a National Association of Flower Arrangement Societies demonstrator, visited the club at Southwick Methodist Church last Tuesday for Countdown to Christmas.

Toni Denyer, chairman of Southwick Flower Club, said: “The event was very well attended, with 90 people coming along to watch the demonstration.”

She said the audience was enthralled by the innovative floral arrangements and the club was delighted Gill was able to fit the Christmas demonstration into her hectic schedule.

All arrangements were raffled at the end of the evening, with the proceeds donated to charity.

Southwick Flower Club, which was founded 33 years ago, has 50 members who meet on the second Tuesday of the month, usually at St Michael’s Church hall in Church Lane, Southwick, at 7.30pm. For more details, contact the secretary, Mrs Susan Austin, on 01273 414517.
