Volunteers put on their waders and wellies to help tackle an invasive pond weed called parrot’s feather in Maidenbower on Thursday.

They joined Cllr Ken Trussell, cabinet member for the environment and Cllr Duncan Peck (Con, Maidenbower) for the third work day clearing it from the pond in Billinton Drive. The weed is non-native and grows quickly reducing the amount of oxygen and nutrients in the water making if difficult for other plants and animals to survive. M91_0514
