Proud mum Samantha Shanley said her daughter donated the hair to the trust and has so far raised more than £300.

Carol Brown, at Serenity Hair, in The Street, Rustington, did the haircut on Friday.

She said: “Neither she or her mother had heard of the Little Princesses Trust until they came in to my salon to have a consultation with me about Chloe cutting her hair shorter.

“As I have had cancer myself, I do a lot of head shaving, wig cutting and scarf advice for clients and their friends and family, all free of charge.

“I was delighted when Chloe’s mum contacted me that evening to say they had looked at the trust’s website and set up a JustGiving page, in addition to Chloe donating her hair for a child’s chemotherapy wig.

“This is a fantastic thing for such a young child, to become aware of other children who are not as lucky health wise as she is and act upon it to help them.”

Little Princess Trust provides wigs to children with cancer to help them cope when they lose their hair.
