POLICE have claimed ‘robust and positive action’ helped them catch a Chichester drug offender who was sentenced this week.

Linda Stacey, 46, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply cannabis after a top-floor flat in Oving Road was raided by police on December 6, 2014.

She was jailed for six months at Chichester Crown Court on Tuesday (July 14).

Police said they seized ‘a quantity of cannabis and drug paraphernalia’ during the raid.

Later, arresting officer PC Tom Van Der Wee said: “This case came about thanks to good intelligence, which enabled a warrant to be executed.

“We were able to take robust and positive action, leading to a prison sentence for this offender and seizure of illicit drugs.”

He encouraged anyone with information about drug misuse or associated crimes to email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or to phone 101.

Stacey was also ordered to pay an £80 victim surcharge.
