Chance to learn more about port

SHOREHAM Port is inviting residents and port users to meet the team and learn more about developments there.

Jim May, chairman of the board, and chief executive Rodney Lunn will report on the port’s key achievements to date at the annual public and stakeholders meeting will on Tuesday, 7pm to 9pm, at The Barn Theatre, Southwick Street, Southwick.

There will also be an update on future developments and the chance for the audience to discuss views and pose questions.

People can find out more about large-scale projects, such as the construction of Edgeley Green’s £20 million biofuel power station, and other sustainable projects, such as the installation of up to 2,000 solar panels to power hundreds of local homes.

Other talking points will include a new approach to the control of dust from the export of woodchip.
