SIR PAUL MCCARTNEY has teamed up with LADY GAGA for new music - after she revealed she initially hung up on him.

The Poker Face singer admitted she was so shocked to receive a call from the Beatles star that she mistakenly assumed it was a prank caller.

“Always a good time with my buddy,” she wrote on Instagram, alongside a photo of her with Sir Paul in the studio.

“I’ll never forget when he called me last year to work and I hung up the phone cuz I thought it was a prank!” she added.

Gaga also shared an image of her with Sir Paul and his band.

FELICITY JONES has apparently landed the coveted female lead in one of the standalone Star Wars movies.

The Theory Of Everything actress saw off competition from the likes of ROONEY MARA to bag the part, which is shrouded in secrecy, according to the Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision blog.

Oscar nominee Felicity, 31, and other actresses tested for the part last week.

And the English star is now said to be in talks.

The spin-off will be released in December 2016, after JJ ABRAMS’ Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

It will be followed by RIAN JOHNSON’s Star Wars: Episode VIII in December 2017, and another spin-off being directed by JOSH TRANK.

RITA ORA and JENNIFER HUDSON are said to be making small screen appearances on new TV series Empire.

The US show, aired on Fox, follows two music producers in the world of hip-hop and has apparently signed up the superstar singers for guest spots, according to E! News.

No details have been released on their roles and Fox have said they won’t comment on casting rumours, but it is expected that Jennifer and Rita will play themselves in the debut series, which lends itself to the idea of big name guest stars.

Empire stars TERRENCE HOWARD and TARAJI P HENSON as its music producers and is in its first series.
