Steyning Camera Club are celebrating the success of one of their members, Maggie Tillotson, in an annual county-wide competition on Wednesday, November 6.
The Regnum Print Competition is one of the most prestigious events in the photographic calendar with camera clubs from all over West Sussex presenting their best work.
This year Steyning was hosting the competition at The Steyning Centre and competing against 10 other camera clubs. The competition was won by Bognor Regis Camera Club who scored 117 points out of a possible maximum of 120, with Worthing Camera Club coming second with 114 points and Chichester, Horsham and Storrington tying in third with a creditable 110 each. The other clubs taking part were from Littlehampton, Mid Sussex, Southwick, Midhurst and Henfield.
Maggie’s print ‘The Deserted Beach’ was chosen as the best print of the competition by the judge for the evening, the excellent Gerald Kitiyakara LRPS from Carshalton Camera Club.
Ken Woods said: “Viewing the competition from a packed hall, I thought that the prints were of a very high quality and superbly appraised by our judge. Credit must also go to the committee and members of Steyning Camera Club for hosting a super event that went seamlessly.”
