Sussex Enterprise, the accredited Chamber of Commerce for Sussex, has appointed a chief executive to help create a more commercial operation.
The group, which serves businesses large and small, has announced Ana Christie will be its new chief executive.
Sussex Enterprise chairman Nick Handley said: “Ana is an inspirational leader who has substantial business experience in both the UK and internationally and we are delighted to confirm her appointment.
“Ana’s role will be to increase the range of services we offer to our members, to local authorities and to the local enterprise partnerships in East and West Sussex.”
Ana, who lives in Haywards Heath, began her career in aviation and worked in hospitality before running the London Aquarium. Most recently she has worked in West Sussex for a major supplier to the health sector.
She said: “I am really excited about my new role and looking forward to working with individuals and organisations for the benefit of Sussex Enterprise member businesses as well as the wider Sussex economy.
“By building even stronger relationships, it is important that Sussex Enterprise provides quality, value for money and an exceptional service for all its members, new commercial businesses and joint partnerships.”
