The chief executive of the Gatwick Diamond Initiative, Jeremy Taylor, is encouraging people to get involved in the charities they care about after being awarded a ‘Give More Star’ for his fundraising efforts. Jeremy’s most recent achievement was raising £3,000 for the Sussex Community Foundation by travelling from Manor Royal to Monaco on public transport while dressed as Kermit the Frog. The Give More Challenge, which is running this week, asks people to pledge to give more time and money to the causes they care about. www.givemorechallenge.org

Jeremy said: “What I’ve learnt from this is that you don’t have to take on some gruelling physical challenge to raise money for charity – people are just as likely to sponsor you to do anything that takes you out of your comfort zone, especially if it includes public humiliation,

“You have to be brave, and do something you don’t necessarily find easy, but it’s worth it for the money we raised for our selected charities.”
