Crawley Borough Council has cut shrubs right back in Worth Park Avenue to cut crime.

A resident contacted the Observer alarmed at the severity of the work, especially at the junction with Pearson Road.

In response a council spokesman said: “The shrubbery has been reduced due to anti-social behaviour.

“The bushes have been used to mask drug taking, sexual activity and littering.”
