A DAY of family fun at Billingshurst Fire Station on Saturday raised £350 for charity.

The open day was raising money for The Fire Fighters Charity and gave people the chance to see inside their local fire station as well as ask firefighters any questions.

There was plenty to do during the day, as the station put on a variety of displays and demonstrations, which the crew made fun for the children.

The audience feedback was really positive and everyone found the displays informative, giving them a better understanding of their community fire station. The crew also gave road and fire safety advice.

Among all of this there were stalls, a raffle and refreshments.
