Beeding in Bloom poster winners announced at village school

WINNERS of the Beeding in Bloom poster competition have been announced.

Children at Upper Beeding Primary School sat with bated breath in the morning assembly last Monday before the winners were revealed.

Tricia Toe from Beeding in Bloom said: “Every year, Beeding in Bloom holds a poster competition for Upper Beeding Primary School.

“This is sponsored by Ashley Dawe, who owns local firm Ashley Dawe Property Maintenance.

“Once again this year, the children produced some great pictures for us.”

Beeding in Bloom chairman Dudley Rushmere was at the school assembly to thank the children for taking part and announce the winners. Ashley Dawe then presented each with their prizes.

Tricia added: “ We will be putting as many of the children’s posters as possible in the shop windows in Upper Beeding.”

Winners were:

l Age four – Ryan Plummer

l Age five – Kacy Esser

l Age six – Lara Vielvoye

l Ages seven and eight – Ellame Ford-Dunn

l Age nine – May Essam

l Ages 10 and 11 – Jodie Tyler.

Beeding in Bloom is a committee of villagers who run the village entries in local and national flower competitions.
