PARAMEDICS had to help a man last night (May 30) after a beam fell on him inside Halnaker Windmill.
Rescue crews from West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service were at the windmill just after 5.30pm.
The one tonne internal beam fell on the man, who was not trapped upon the arrival of the rescue crews.
He was assisted by ambulance paramedics and the area was cordoned off.
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service and paramedics assisted him from the windmill and he was taken to hospital by ambulance.
The incident has been left with Sussex Police.
