MORE than £2,200 has been raised by a Shoreham company for Chestnut Tree House children’s hospice.

Basepoint Shoreham raised money through a raffle at South Lodge Hotel in Horsham and this was match-funded by its parent company, The ACT Foundation.

Spectators were treated to a big band concert on the lawns, and Basepoint donated prizes to the raffle draw.

Stephanie George, Shoreham centre manager, presented the cheque to Terrina Barnes, corporate fundraiser at Chestnut Tree House.

She said: “It is a pleasure to be able to support such an incredible charity and we are looking forward to continuing our fundraising activities throughout the year.”

The company has so far raised raising almost £10,000 for Chestnut Tree House, its nominated charity.

Basepoint has also sponsored a wide number of local business and community events, including the Adur and Worthing Business Awards, Adur and Worthing Chamber of Commerce networking hubs, Shoreham RiverFest 10km and Adur Outdoor Activities Centre’s climbing wall at RiverFest and Shoreham Airshow.
