The original Worthing Micropub has been given a prestigious award.

On Saturday, Anchored in Worthing, was awarded Regional Pub of the Year by CAMRA (Campaign for Real Ale) regional co-ordinator Chris Stringer.

Chris stated in his presentation speech that Anchored in Worthing, which is located at 27 West Buildings, was at the forefront of the Micropub movement and a role model to other pubs.

This award means that Anchored in Worthing is now considered to be one of the top 16 pubs in the whole of the UK, and is now under consideration for CAMRA National Pub of the Year.

Nigel Watson, co-owner of Anchored in Worthing said: “No small achievement for such a small local pub that has promoted CAMRA objectives since its outset and continues to do so.”
