FREE family fun is on offer at the Steyning Downland Scheme for the annual Big Picnic.

Tractor rides, whacky sports, live music and a fun dog show are just some of the activities on offer on Sunday afternoon.

There will also be an apple press for use by people who take their own apples, open mic spots for performers, tug-of-war challenges and games such as inflatable sumo wrestling and skittles.

Walks and quizzes are also on offer, with the event running from 12.30pm to 4pm, at the Old Rifle Range, off Mouse Lane, Steyning.

Visitors can park at the Cuthman Centre, in Horsham Road.

Free bacon butties will be available during the afternoon, along with tea and cakes.

Jane O’Neill, volunteer administrator for the Steyning Downland Scheme, said: “Are there any volunteers who can help on the day?”
