Juggling and uni-cycling are being laid on to tempt young people to tell adults what they want in their village.
Theatre skills and a barbeque are also on the menu in Balcombe after a survey of every household for the village plan identified the need to look at what was available for older children and teenagers.

One of the issues parish councillors want to discuss with their target audience is the possibility of relaunching the youth club, which closed in 2005 due to lack of a leader.

Carol Jarvest, leader of the parish council's Young Person's Working Group, said: "We are looking for opinions and views from young people about the youth club, about what shape it would take and whether they will be getting involved."

The village plan was produced last year after a survey of more than 700 housholds in the village and identified two objectives: to reinstate the youth club and to look at facilities for young people.

A youth open event is being held on Saturday to talk to young people aged 11 to 18 from the village to ask them their views.

They can drop in any time between 4pm and 6pm to the pavilion in the recreation ground and share the barbecue and join the theatre and circus workshops which are being staged by professionals involved with Mid Sussex's youth services.
