A MID Sussex garden centre is taking part in a mega world record-breaking attempt next month called Tree O'Clock.

South Downs Nurseries, in Hassocks, is backing the BBC's efforts to plant the most number of trees within a single hour from 11am to 12 noon on December 5.

To get your free baby tree to plant pop in to South Downs Nurseries or Paradise Park, Newhaven, which is also involved. Availability is on a first come, first served basis.

People can either plant a native tree, hedge or fruit tree in their garden, or join in one of the organised events at various locations around the United Kingdom.
