The vehicle ploughed into the five-metre high wall in Loose Lane, Sompting, at 11.40pm last night (Monday, July 7).

Firefighters were called to assess the damage to the wall and to clear up a small fuel leak.

The car's occupants left the vehicle before police arrived to investigate the scene. They are appealing for witnesses to call them on 0845 6070999, quoting serial number 2144 of July 7.
