Shire horse rescued on farm

A BIG SHIRE horse was lifted back on to its feet after it collapsed in a field.
Fire fighters were called to Wattlehurst Farm, on the A24 Kingsfold at 5.46pm today, July 24.

One fire engine from Horsham was at the scene. Heavy lifting equipment was also brought in from Crawley.

An animal specialist team from Storrington helped direct the rescue.

A fire spokesman said: "It collapsed in a field as it couldn't supports its own weight.

"We had to lift it onto its own legs and it seems to be walking at the moment."

Firefighters returnd from the scene around 8pm.
