New campaign group's meeting
HORSHAM needs its own council to look after the town's people and traders, according to a new campaign group.
David Brooks, representing SHoT (Save Horsham Town), said they are launching a petition for a Horsham Town Council to be established and will be staging a public meeting tomorrow (Wednesday May 7).
"Given recent history, people are increasingly sceptical that the out-of-town cabinet-dominated Horsham District Council (HDC) can adequately represent the interests of Horsham town," he said.
The SHoT meeting will be held at Horsham's Old Town Hall in Market Square from 7.30pm.
