The meeting takes place on Monday May 12, at 10am, at County Hall in Chichester.

West Sussex Primary Care Trust (PCT) is proposing that the review of services in the north-east of the county will cover Crawley, most of Horsham and the north of Mid Sussex.

It is being led by Sir Graeme Catto, president of the General Medical Council, who also chaired the independent panel which came up with the revised Fit for the Future options shortlist for West Sussex PCT.

HOSC chairman Peter Griffiths said: "We want to find out how the Fit for the Future decisions will impact on the review, an explanation of exactly which services will be looked at and an indication of when the review findings will be published.

"In particular, we will be asking the PCT how they will ensure they hear the views of residents and local authorities and organisations on the shape of healthcare services."

Another item on the agenda is the PCT's plan for primary care services in the county including the development of new GP surgeries, extended access to GPs including the new out of hours services as part of delivery of care closer to home for patients, and the setting up of a new Health Centre Service in Crawley.
