BREAKING NEWS: Security guard attacked in attempted robbery at Rustington bank

A SECURITY guard was attacked while making a delivery to Barclays Bank at Rustington this morning (Thursday, August 21).
The guard was attacked by a black man, who sprayed liquid in his face, at about 9.45am.

The attacker fled without any cash and was seen leaving the area with possibly two other people in a car.

The security guard is not seriously injured and has been taken to hospital for treatment.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the attack or who may have information to call 0845 60 70 999 quoting serial 370 of August 21.
