Welfare charity changes its name

AFTER 81 years, the International League for the Protection of Horses has changed its name to World Horse Welfare.
Zara Phillips has lent her support to the organisation at Badminton horse trials.


The vision of a world where the horse is used but never abused remains at the heart of World Horse Welfare's philosophy.


The charity is currently stabling the horses at the centre of the Amersham horse case but this is just one of thousands of cases that World Horse Welfare is involved with and it has published a charity roadmap that affirms the strategic framework for its three areas of activity: UK welfare, campaigns and international training.
