Two volunteers acclaimed for inspiring achievements
TWO West Sussex women, Carol Porter, from Coolham, and Jan Botting, of Pulborough, both long-standing volunteers for The British Horse Society, have been recognised for their services.
Mrs Porter was presented with The British Horse Society's Award of Merit in recognition of her dedication to the society in the West Sussex area.
She received the award at the society's annual general meeting, held at Saddlers' Hall, London.
At the same time,Jan Botting, of Pulborough, received a 25-year service award for her invaluable work in organising riding and road safety initiatives for riders in West Sussex.
