PULBOROUGH rider Charlotte Royall has established a successful partnership with her new pony, Banoffee Pie, culminating in winning the Under 16 age group at the British Showjumping Championships (2' 9" and 3' 0" fences), held near Newport in Wales.
Charlotte (12) has owned Banoffee Pie – whose official name is Francus – since April. He is a 14.1hh Dun Welsh cross Arab pony aged nine, and was a total novice when bought.

A student at Brighton College, Charlotte has been bringing him on slowly and during the summer he won several affiliated and unaffiliated show jumping events. They also won the 2.6-2.9ft class at Windlesham School Show in the summer.
