WEST Sussex was well-represented in the equestrian section at the South of England show last week, with plenty of entries is the showing classes and also in show jumping.
Two good winners in the sport horse breeding section rewarded Arundel exhibitor John Dunlop.

While judges inexplicably marked down his classy heavyweight hunter, Man of Distinction, ridden by Guy Landau in the ridden classes, he had two successful entries in the breeding classes.

Lady Luck, shown by Paul Armitage, had won and been awarded Reserve Champion at the recent Surrey County Show. She continued in winning form at Ardingly taking the yearling potential sport horse class, looking a real prospect for the future, while Man of Quality won the three-year-old class.

There were local successes elsewhere, with Kath Botting of Rustington winning the Working Cob class with Bristol Blue, her seven-year-old piebald lightweight show cob, known at home as Harvey.
