CRAWLEY & Horsham South Pony Club members were invited to Fontwell Park recently, for a race day and tour.
Members were met by Robin Gray a former National Hunt Jockey, who gave them an introduction to National Hunt Racing, and took them up close to some of the fences.

They learned from the head groundsmanhow the ground is looked after and went on to pay a visit to the parade ring.

In the weighing room local jockey Philip Hide and senior partner from Arundel Equine Veterinary Hopsital, Rob van Pelt spoke to them about their roles.

The youngsters also enjoyed a Tipster Game, where they chose a horse from each race, and gained points for places.
