CRAWLEY and Horsham South Pony Club hosted the Area 13 Winter League and Open show jumping finals at Royal Leisure earlier this month.
Sponsored by Dengie Crops Ltd, there were six jumping classes in total.
The first three classes were won by Crawley and Horsham South members Rosie Hawkins, Ella Brasington and Jenni Burgess.

Then it was the qualifying classes, where 27 riders came forward to contest the Winter League Area Final, having qualified at first rounds up and down the country. They travelled from as far afield as Berkshire, Sussex and Hampshire.

George Madders, riding Harry, from Bisley Pony Club claimed victory in this class, while Amber Orgam, riding Charlie, from Garth Hunt PC, claimed victory in the Area Open out of 15 starters.

The Members' Points Trophy was won this year by Hollie Quintas riding Legally Blonde, for gaining the most points on the day.

Hollie was second in class 1 and fourth in class 2, giving her 12 points. The runner-up was Jenni Burgess riding Bryndale Debutante, with 11 points for winning class 3 and being sixth in the Winter League Final.

Crawley and Horsham South's next event is the annual Hunter Trial on Sunday, May 25 in the grounds of Arundel Park. Contact Karen Halls on (01903) 883172 for more details.
