TOP class summer action in eventing in the area begins at Eridge Horse Trials on Saturday and Sunday when Kristina Cook and William Fox-Pitt, two of Britain's three-day-event medal team head the field of more than 500 competitors.
They include top internationals potential stars of the future and grassroots riders competing on Saturday & Sunday at Eridge Park near Tunbridge Wells, by kind permission of The Marquess of Abergavenny.

Set in the picturesque park on the 5000 acre Abergavenny family estate, Eridge opens a busy summer season for the prestigious £10,000 South East Eventers League and among the contenders are current Chaskits Novice leader Claire Pointing (Pulborough, West Sussex) and Seahorse Intermediate leader Sam Penn (Peacehaven, East Sussex).

Among the other runners are Wadhurst-born Pippa Funnell (Forest Green, Surrey) and rising GB stars Francis Whittingon (Rotherfield, E. Sussex), and Emily Baldwin (Lamberhurst, Kent) plus Irish international Sacha Pemble (Paddockwood).
