ARUNDEL Riding Club held an eventers' challenge for the second year running this month when event organiser and club chairperson Sacha Parks was delighted with the turnout which was up by 50 per cent on last year.

The course consisted of 14 fences in one round against the clock, with a five second penalty added to the time taken for each pole knocked down. Runouts were not disqualifications but added to times.

Abbie Davey made it a good day with a win in class 2 and a second in class 3. Class three had joint seconds with Charlotte Williams riding Treasure, and Kate Stillwell on Sue Caulston's Standen Melia. All times were very close in that class.
