A CHARITY dressage competition at Boxgrove Competition Stables raised £1,039 for a new village hall.
Organiser Melissa Brooks said: "We are delighted to have raised so much because the project is very dear to us.

"My husband Nick, who was killed in a car accident just before Christmas, had, together with his committee, worked tirelessly for this project.

"He had been the force behind the planning and fundraising for the new project, engaged and assisting in all the village efforts.

"Nick's particular success had been in establishing and running the Boxgrove 200 Club Parish Lottery, for which the draws take place monthly, and we now have more than 150 members.

"We would love to make it to the 200.
