A major Horsham business is celebrating after receiving a Horsham Healthy Workplace Award from Horsham District Council in recognition of its efforts to help staff get healthier.

The Creative Assembly, a video game developer located in Spires Court in Horsham town centre, was delighted with the award but staff are far from complacent about the value of having a fit and healthy team.

Emma Cole, recruitment and HR assistant at The Creative Assembly, said: “We are striving for a gold award and will be building on the many initiatives we already have in place.

“We work closely with our Employment Advisory Service to support staff with any problems they have and provide easy access to facilities such as those at the Pavilions in the Park leisure centre through flexible working arrangements and discounted membership.

“It is however the simple things that we pay attention to and we have great office facilities in which we provide high quality break out spaces and free healthy breakfasts for staff.”

The Horsham Healthy Workplace Award is open to any organisation in the Horsham District and brings free help and support to build a healthy workforce, which can help to enable healthy performance and profits.

Sue Rogers, Horsham District Council’s Cabinet Member for a Safer and Healthier District, welcomed The Creative Assembly to the growing ranks of award winners amongst a number of Horsham businesses.

She said: “The Creative Assembly is renowned for the quality of their products and has a loyal customer following.

“This reflects the effort they put into developing and retaining an excellent workforce, which of course includes looking after their wellbeing.

“I am delighted they are demonstrating the value of investing in staff health and hope they continue in their quest for a gold award.”
