The Carfax is now open for traffic until early April, allowing the Easter Piazza Italia to go ahead.

It will shut to traffic once more on Tuesday, April 2, for 14 days, so work can be carried out to repair the pedestrian ramp outside Waterstones.

This week, West Sussex County Council said recent bad weather had delayed resurfacing work in The Causeway as well as work on the ramps in the Carfax.
