Drivers ignoring 30 mph restriction

I read with interest your article on traffic calming alternatives in the County Times of January 24.

My family and I have just moved to a house on Wimblehurst Road.

I am increasingly concerned at the speed of traffic along this road, the risks of which, I believe, are exacerbated by narrow pavements at various stages along the road.

My sense is that many drivers ignore what I assume is a 30 mph speed limit. With young children this is an obvious concern for my wife and I.

I plan to raise this issue with the relevant local authorities, and was pleased to see the article in your paper.
